Update: Took all of the steps advised and am happy to report that the app works fine. Thanks! |

Hi
I am have a few issues with CamerAlert (CA) on my Samsung S4 mini.
Unless the phone has just been restarted the GPS is not starting to feed the data to CA.
I have to pull down the top access bar and quickly turn off & on the GPS that then works.
If I have run CA a few times since a reboot the acquiring location keeps switching in and out every few seconds.
The only way I have found to stop this is to reboot the phone yet again.
I make 3 or 4 trips a day and usually have to reboot at least once a day.
When running CA is a great App but these issues are really starting to annoy me.
I have checked with Google Play and the app is up to date
Is any one else having these issues. |

Are you using the regular or the alternative GPS startup method in CamerAlert? _________________ Lutz

If the phone has just been rebooted the GPS stares automaticlly.
If not I have to pull down the control bar from the top of the screen and turn the GPS off and on again.
It will then feed CA.
The main issue starts on the 3rd time I run CA after reboot. |

Hi, I experienced a minor crash on my Nexus 5, and submitted a crash report only to receive an email telling me the address is not monitored...
You should maybe look into that, as I'm left not knowing if I wasted my time, or if you got it but sent me a confusing auto-reply.
Thanks,
Luis. |

The message just means you should not attempt to reply to the email. Your crash log has been received and we are looking into it. _________________ Lutz

I've been using CamerAlert for 2½ days now and I've had 2 lockups.
I can't find any logs on my HTC One (m7) and I haven't been prompted on the phone to send in any logs.
To release the lock I just slide the phone out of the car dock which shuts down CA, wait ten secs, then push the phone back in and it seems to be OK for the rest of the 20 mile journey.
HTC One
4G
Maps v1 (the others don't draw quick enough at anything over 30mph)
Custom 70% volume - device speaker

Do you recognise a pattern ? Does it lock up at the same spot? _________________ Lutz

Hi
Lock 1 was about 5 minutes into a journey home on day 1. 2nd lock was on the M25 this morning.
The speed, map refresh and my location icon just freezes.
I think, but I must check again, that on both occasions I was using the v1 standard map. I have tried using v2 with the traffic bars but that seems to have an issue keeping pace when I'm going over 30mph.
Early days yet so bear with me and I'll try and spot a pattern. _________________ DashCam:

Locked again yesterday evening and again this morning. I know it's been a while but I don't use the car much now.
Anyway, because I wasn't using the Car Dock facility, when I manually closed the app it prompted me to submit a crash log which I did about half an hour ago from the time of this post.
Hopefully you can determine which of my other apps is causing the issue.

Locked again on my way home, log sent again, have you received them ?
Funny thing is it always seems to be about half an hour into the journey. _________________ DashCam:

I have several lock ups but never had the time to submit as I was driving and needed to reset the mobile.
I have submitted a log yesterday.
I get either a lock up or neverending 50mph warnings after the final camera on a stretch of the M60 . Last camera was at Jct 8 anticlockwise. Now I get no sound \ alerts but it crashed. _________________ Fraserp

That will give you the never ending alert. You do know that you can cancel it by tapping on the alert on the screen? |

The first camera alerts but then does not provide any average. Yesterday the average speed only appeared after the 2nd (and currently final) camera near junction 8. I suspect they are not paired correctly.
Thanks for the advice but I do know about the cancel alert option but thought this problem should be highlighted. _________________ Fraserp
