A couple of weeks ago I downloaded a new set of POIs including Morrisons and Mc Donalds.
A week later I couldn't get them to come up on my TomTom one XL V4 new edition? 4N00.005
I connect the unit to the laptop to check if they were in the list, which they were, in the western europe folder, also I noticed that before the download I had two different sets of LPG with different icons now I only have one set.
Can anyone help me to figure out what went wrong, I've been using the same selections since I joined the forum and the same unit, always been fine before, other POIs seem OK so far.

Only thing I can think of off the top of my head is do you have more than one map folder?
I've noticed that my old "Western Europe" map got updated to "Europe", but the old map folder was not deleted (IIRC the old main map files WERE deleted, just the user-files remained in the old folder).
Also, when you say they were not "coming up" on the TomTom, do you mean they did not appear in the text listing in any of the menus, such as "Show POI on map", or the "Delete POI category" and "Warn when near POI" sub-menus in "Manage POIs" ?
If the new POI file is not showing up in those lists, then I reckon there must be an issue with the file format as the TT cannot recognise it at all.
If the files DO show in the menu lists, but don't show up on screen, then (assuming you've switched them on in the "Show POI on map", or the "Warn when near POI" menus) there must be a problem with the download and it's produced an empty file.
Have you tried looking at the POI files with something like POIEdit to see if that can read the contents OK? _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-)

Kev, see attached pic, only one map apart from canaries for some reason, but it's always been there

Kev, not in POI near you, in POI in city, in delete category either, it gets as far as MO (in Morrisons) and if I put the are in it says "No Matches)

Kev, it could be, but not sure why, I've done nothing different when downloading them

Kev, when I go into warn when near, it doesn't show up in there either

Kev, yes they do show up in there, although they're bit out of date store wise
I'm just downloading them again to see if it is still the same, but I fin't it odd that it's just a few which have changed.
I forgot to add, that the TT is running on the SD card, which in theory shouldn't make a difference, but I thought I'd try it without the SD card in and I can see Morrisons then, but the file date is 2009, so not much use for the newer stores, but at least I have some of them.
I also did a spring clean on the SD card and just got rid of a lot of older POI files in case it was causing some kind of confusion, but it's still the same.
