Just downloaded Build 1.5.9369.2 while uploading some tracks but cannot see what the changes are from the web-site. Anyone any ideas what this upgrade fixed? |

I was hoping it would fix the compass freeze issue on the Active 12, but I can't get SatSync to see the Active 12 at all, so I can't update it! |

Build 9369
Fixing a bug that generates inconsistent GPX files.
EU languages update.
Software metadata has been corrected.
Screen Data Options SETTING, Trail Markers Size wording clarified. |

Connect your Active 10 to the web via SatSync and the process is automatic (more or less). |

...Unless you are a Mac user. I have now had confirmation from Satmap tech support that there is currently a problem with satsync for mac that prevents Active 10/12 software updates from installing successfully. However, in their now legendary excellent customer support style, they are sending me the update on an SD card |

Exemplary customer service but look at what the update actually provides.
Who is desperate for those updates? Imagine the cost of providing SD cards to all Mac users once the news get out. I'm pleased for you but it's a ridiculous commercial decision in my book. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

I just now tried to run the last update onto my A10 and was slightly suspicious when I quickly saw a message asking me to unplug and restart my unit. Sure enough, when I did exactly that, the on-screen message on the A10 informs me I need an SD card with the update on it - in fact reading between the lines, not so much just the update, but the whole of the firmware. Bother!!
And to make matter worse, I think was already on the latest version! I used SatSync to check for an update and it told there was one available, but having checked the build history on Satmap's website, I see I was already on the last build - 1.5 - so SatSync was fibbing!!
So now I'm in limbo waiting for a card from the tech support peeps... BTW I'm a Mac user. |

A worrying report Simon.
Thanks for the alert.
Do let us know how you get on. At least the tech support team seem to have responded quickly to your call.. _________________ LostMike

Bit of a late update as I've been away, but in a nut-shell, I connected the A10 to my spare laptop, inherited from work, which runs W7 and went through the update process using the SatSync for Windows which has cured the problem. The tech desk at Satmap made reference to a non-Beta vs. of SatSync for Mac being nearly ready, in one of their replies but without quoting a date... |
