|
|
I have a nuvi 3598lmtd (UK) satnav and I am experiencing an odd "feature".
When I am using the device unplugged and hence without an external power supply thew scren keeps going dark.
When I check the screen brightness it is set at 20%. I adjust it to around 70% and off I go only to find that a few minutes later it has gone back to 20%.
Any ideas why it keeps on changing and why it is always 20%? _________________ David

Hmmm ... have you got the display timeout set to something other than 'never'? |

Yes it was set at a few minutes - I've now set it to never.
Many thanks.
My next question is sat nav time. When I turn the satnav on the time is always wrong.
It makes no difference whether It is set to automatic or manual.
The time gets corrected (on auto) once it has found the satellites but it does not retain the time when asleep!!! _________________ David

Not sure why that would be ... my 2508 displays the correct time whether it has a satellite lock or not, although when it comes out of standby mode it takes a second or so to update the screen, but it certainly does that before it has a lock. |

It was never the same error but it was usually 6 - 12 hours. _________________ David
