Hi,
Can anyone tell me why my 950 live stops receiving a gps signal as I approach the Basingstoke turn off J6 and then continues not to receive a signal as I approach my friends housing estate. As its a housing estate its hard to find their rd and the map goes all over the place and just wont get any signal at all! I have even stopped and reput all the info back in to the 950 and it just won't work around that area!. This is the 2nd time I have been to their house in the last 9 month and each time it loses the signal. I have the lastest maps and have updated them a few times in the last 9 months.

Maybe someone there is using an illegal GPS jammer
Otherwise I can't imagine why your GPS wouldn't get a signal in that area. |

IF you go to Menu page 3 / Status and Info / GPS Status, are the signal levels from individual satellites looking lower than normal or missing? _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

No I didn't check the satelites status but maybe I should have! It is strange why it happens there as my friends told me it always happens with other peoples satnavs aswell. as I approach J6 north bound on the M3 signal goes and when i'm on my way back from their place and I get on to the motorway heading south the signal comes back and the satnav behaves its self.
Maybe when I go again I'll take my trusty 910 aswell side by side and see if that plays up!. |
