I have the latest TomTom speed camera database as well as the PocketGPS speed camera database running on my new TomTom Via 135. I have subscriptions for both (a mistake I think!).
I have already encountered the TomTom database errors reported elsewhere ie cameras missing and camera warnings where there are no cameras.
Where both databases have information on a camera site I am getting two warnings.
What I am thinking of doing is temporarily uninstalling the TomTom speed camera database and just running the PocketGPS one for a while to see how I get on. Will I be able to reverse the process and reinstall the TomTom database after the experiment? |

I think that you'll find that's what most people who use PGPSW data do with the possible exception of re-installing TT cams. Why would you want to have out of date data running as well as the good stuff? |

I'm running a tomtom 950 live which has tomtom speed cams and pgps cameras, and all i have done is disabled tomtom cameras.
to do this you select live services then select speed cameras then select disable warnings ,
you still have tomtom cameras on the unit and you can still take the updates , all this does is stops the tomtom cameras showing on the unit and warning you ,
i wouldn't run anything other than pgps speed cams ,
it's far more up to date . |
