Hi

I have the Urban Rider (europe 45) model and need to get a bluetooth headset.

This will mainly be for GPS directions but occasionally on long euro trips I may connect my iPod , not bothered about connecting a phone or rider to rider/pillion communication.

Can anyone please recommend a good budget headset that will work with the Urban Rider ? My budget is up to £150 max.

many thanks for any help & advice

Chris

I use a Sony hbh-ds200 Bluetooth headset with my Rider 2 or Android CAmerAlert (not both at the same time) which works well.

Are you looking for a headset which will connect to both your Rider and your iPod at the same time? or is it possible to pair your iPod to your Rider and then pair the Rider to the Bluetooth headset?

My usual set up is to have my Rider bt connected to the Cardo Scala for navigation (in my left ear) and have my Android phone with CamerAlert connected to the Sony (in my right ear). I have replaced the standard Sony earphones with a set of hook-over-the-ear type ones.

Hi , thanks for the reply,
Ideally I am after a headset to fit into the crash helmet with speakers each side.

Generally I guess I would pair the Rider to the headset , and the iPod to the Rider. I assume then that the Rider instructions would override the iPod and then go back to music ?

Any ideas ? I really haven't a clue :-(

Sorry chrisst2, not being an iPxx person, I can't advise any further. Hopefully some iPod, Rider users shall pass by and help.

Did you get sorted? If not heard quite good things about theses.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/800M-Interphone-Bluetooth-Motorbike-Motorcycle-Helmet-Intercom-Headset-Headphone-/290916060925

Bit on the large side but much cheaper than the big brands..

I ended up with this set up looking for something similar and cheap. I use this Noise Hush NS560 dongle with these super cheap ebay helmet speakers. The speakers as expected leave a bit to be desired, but it works rahter well. I do however use an AGV horizon that has small circular spaces in the ear holes for agv's speaker system...hope this helps.

Your budget should get you a branded, good quality headset like Sena, Scala, or Interphone. I just ordered an Interphone F4 with the speakers/mic for the Shoei Neotec. They have a slightly cheaper F3, which does the same as far as comms with GPS and phone, but is only short distance for intercom, ie.e only pillion not another rider.
