Hi
I am having trouble starting the CA app!
If i press the icon, i get the audio message "Take care, you are not using the latest database"
(which is why I want to start it up, but after a black screen for a second the phone just goes back to the home screen of the phone (One x).
A subsequent press of the icon just gives a black screen for a split second, then back to home screen - no message.
I have tried rebooting the phone
I have the app set to start when inserted into the car dock, which it does about half the time
(in fact my phone seems to do something different each time it is inserted into the dock! - I think that's since the lates android update)
I just need to start the app when I am indoors on wifi to update the cameras!
Any ideas?

Presumably this is Android? The first thing to do would be to delete the app and re-install, see if that resolves your issue. _________________ Darren Griffin |

When investigating car dock a couple of days ago, if I read it right, Android stopped supporting it recently. Not sure of the version though. |

Sometimes a clear out of the "Cache" files on Android reaps dividends for misbehaving apps. If it's not obvious how to do it with your phone's OS, the free app "Android Assistant" makes it easy. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

I may be wrong, but I think that there used to be a problem with the app starting on some phones when the "Use network location" or "Use alternative GPS starter" option(s) were selected in Advanced Settings. Try un-ticking them if you have them selected. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

Clearing the cache in the end seems to have fixed it

We see you’re using an ad-blocker. We’re fine with that and won’t stop you visiting the site.
Have you considered making a donation towards website running costs?. Or you could disable your ad-blocker for this site. We think you’ll find our adverts are not overbearing!
