GRRR. Another Home - my poor computer will have a fit- I have Home for GO520 and GO550, Home for Carminat, MyTomTom for Renault R-Link (albeit called R-Link Toolbox) and here comes a replacement for MyTomTom for GO1005. As if I collect rubbish software! _________________ Dennis

There was a survey from TT some time back, and I remember saying that MyTomtom problems were putting me off getting a new device. Maybe MyDrive is better? All they have to do now is provide access for third party POIs, vastly improve their search engine, and update software for Gox000 to provide a more reliable HD connection. _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]

That should be easy enough to realise' their software designers know how to do it as they have done it before |

Yes, why does it have to be pointed out to them? It's basic stuff..... _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]

My initial impressions are that it is - time will tell. _________________ Gee-Pee

But why do you always have to wait until 'time will tell' with TT stuff. Why don't they get it right first time. (Further comments coming later in a later version of cynicism ) |

Personally I refuse to put TomTom software directly on my PC - it goes onto a virtual machine so I don't have it (or other similar occasional use software) messing up USB drivers resulting in chance of Windows USB drivers giving grief (last time needed rebuild) _________________ J. |

Why don't you try the optimistic approach for a change - I've tried both (The Jury is out) _________________ Gee-Pee

There is a bug in the MyDrive software that says SC need renewing when they don't.
As for the other updates, did you click on the 'more info' link to see exactly what was being offered? It is under the 'update' button. _________________ David |

No, I just connected and didn't see on the first update. I will have to look a little harder next time. |
