|
|
Hello.
Go-Autogas.com have sent me a download file giving UK list of LPG suppliers for vehicles fuel
I have saved this file to both my laptop (runs Ubuntu Lenux) and the 8G memory card in my IGO GPS 84H-3 (chinese?) satnav - I think!
HELP please, how do I install the info to use it?
Go-Autogas offer no installation instructions. IGO user manual has no section on this.
I am not very computer minded, so any simple instructions would be marvellous.
Thank you very much |

You haven't given a lot of information to work with. What format has the file been provided in? i.e. What is the 3-character suffix at the end of the filename?
Has the file been specifically provided for the IGo? I notice on the Go-Autogas site a comment: "*Important: our Sat Nav files are compatible with TOMTOM, GARMIN and NAVMAN units." _________________ Garmin DriveSmart 50 LMT-D |

Thank you for replying.
The files were provided for Garmin and are .csv files and .bmp
Although the Autogas website states they are for the three devices mentioned, I emailed them to ask if the file would load to IGO and they replied
"aI m not familiar with all the different models available, only to say that the model must be capable of importing poi data"
We also have an old garmin we might try to install the file on, as a last resort but prefer to use the IGO if possible. In either case, we have no installation instructions and Autogas.com say they cannot provide. |

OK, we have decided to abandon trying to install on the IGO. The old Garmin will do.
However, we still have to work out how.
thanks for helping make the decision.
Cheers |

You'll need to use Garmin's POILoader software, downloaded from http://www.garmin.com/us/maps/poiloader.
Unfortunately, that's as far as my knowledge of Garmin goes! _________________ Garmin DriveSmart 50 LMT-D |

There are instructions available on the Go-Autogas.com website.
It's not clear from the website, and I don't use LPG. Are Go-Autogas a LPG supplier, or are they just selling a map and POI files?
The only reason I ask is that the PocketGPSWorld.com website offers free POI downloads and one of the download types available is KML (iGO, NDrive etc), as well as the CSV for Garmin. The download has 1268 entries. _________________ Jock
