Hi
Just put TT Europe on my iphone 5 and was looking at the add ons etc - will probably pay for traffic.
While browsing the app store I saw an app for TT speed cameras which seems to be a free app advising of speed cameras on route.
I am right in thinking I cannot marry these 2 apps together and if I want TT speed cameras on my sat nav I would still have to pay for them separately?
Cheers

Look at the seperate TT camera app again. You need a subscription. It's really for people who want the camera alerts from TT but not the sat nav. Easiest way is just to buy the speed cameras in the sat nav app if that's what you want.
Personally I use CamerAlert from PGPSW in the background.
By the way the TT traffic service is great. I save more in petrol each year with it than the annual traffic cost. |

Thanks for the reply
I bought traffic as an in app purchase, however I also have speed cameras which I haven't paid for? Not sure if they are there as an error or free trial?

I think you get a database with the app. To keep it up to date you need a subscription.
No idea how up to date the database you have will be. |

If the TomTom iPhone App uses the same database that is included in my LIVE subscription on my TomTom 950 SatNav then personally I wouldn't bother. The data is poor and there are just very few mobile cameras shown.
I only run the TomTom database for a laugh, I use the PocketGPSWorld camera database on the SatNav and on the Android (and iPhone) for real warnings.
I wouldn't install the TomTom app as poor data is worse than no data.
Have a look at CamerAlert for the iPhone App, it was written by PocketGPSWorld so it can use the full directional (very useful) PocketGPSWorld camera database, and it can handle all types of speed cameras i.e. mobile, fixed (gatso/truvelo), redlight, and SPECS.
