I realise this may be a rather basic question, but I'm a new user and having had a good look round the site can't find the answer to my question.
I've registered with a view perhaps to subscribing to the speed camera alerts, but thought I would try the system out by adding a POI download to my sat nav (a built-in Volvo system). The user manual says that POIs in the format .gpx can be added. But I don't see how to download POI files in the .gpx format from the site.
Can anyone help, please? Also, can somebody confirm that .gpx format is available for speed cameras, please?

.gpx is available for speed cams.
best way to test is to download the csv format for POIs and then use something like 'gps babel' to convert to gpx.

Just to clarify Chris, are you downloading the Camera database or POIs from here to load into your Volvo? |

yes the camera database. I get Camera, Redlight and Speed files and all the different speed limits some with BMP file extension and some with GPX ext but the file extensins dont show up on the volvo screen so dont know which are the GPX files to copy. Hope this helps to solve my problem.

If you don't want the .BMP files, can't you delete them from the USB device with your computer before you shove it up your Volvo. Then there will be no confusion. Or don't I understand the problem? |

Thanks for your help - that seems to work fine and now I'm also a contented subscriber to the speed camera database. |

If it's for a Garmin have a look in that forum as there's 2 bespoke utilities to convert CSV to GPX and add a few bells and whistles along the way. _________________ DashCam:
