Judging by the error message, it seems to not like ONE LINE of the file.

As an experiment, try opening the pocketgps_uk_masters_and_pmobile_5.poi file in Notepad (the basic text editor on your PC), and scroll down to the very last line.
You should see something like "0.72185,51.51508,"Copyright PocketGPSWorld.com""

That's the only line that's in a different format to all the others, so try deleting that line (including the carriage return) and re-saving the file with the same name.

Now does it work?

The error with the first file refers to the first line . Did you download the specific Navi file? It's missing the header rows found in many of the other options because the Navi system doesn't like them and causes this error message.

For the second file, it sounds like it was going OK. Progress from 0% to 50% is transferring the file from the USB drive, and then from 50% to 100% is saving the data. The second part can take around 10 minutes, believe it or not. Did you wait this long?
