Here's what MyTomTom has to say about camera updates (and has anybody EVER seen their device saying anything even remotely similar to "downloading speed cameras"?).

Fixed and mobile cameras are updated via MyTomTom (i.e. connection to the PC). As far as I know, only mobile cameras are updated over the LIVE connection.
Going back to the OP's problem.... when you run MyTomTom, and then connect the GO to the PC via USB, then it should be recognised by the program itself. Is it? _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

Sorry for late reply, no it doesn't recognise the device in My TomTom. To be honest I'd lost interest in it, been too busy to worry about it.
So you are saying it doesn't update cameras itself? I'd better look into this further _________________ Paul

Linked the tomtom to my daughter's laptop (running windows 7) and it's working fine, doing 4 updates as we speak! Hurrah! _________________ Paul
