hi
time ago I read somewhere that it was possible to merge 2 files ov2 directly on tomtom
I have 2 files speedcam
speedcam-a
speedcam-b
was something like this:
speedcam.ov2
speedcam_1.ov2
and tomtom see a single file speedcam
does anyone remember how it worked? |

If you mean can you merge two POI files together just by calling them the same name but with a "_1" at the end of one of them...
...then no, I've never heard of that working.
It would be especially unlikely to work for TomTom's own speed cam files as they are in a special, encrypted, format.
There USED to be a way I discovered of merging a POI file of your own with one of the BUILT-IN POI categories (details HERE), but that stopped working long ago.
But if you just want to merge two of YOUR OWN (or other third-party) POI files together, then that is easy to do it before you add it to the TomTom, using a PC utility like POI Edit. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

Autovelox_IT_Tomtom.ov2 = TomTom's version of Italian speed cameras. Not very good last time I tried them. _________________ Dennis

Thanks Dennis, but WTF does the question mean. I assume that 'Waths' is a typo for 'whats'. It's got all the right letters, but not necessarily in the right order |

The question means "What's category of autovelox?" - simples - I've put them in the right order for you now. And I answered the question already. _________________ Dennis

There isn't a speedcam category - that list seems to be of all TomTom POIs (but I wonder just how accurate it is today when that list is six years old - on my GO520 I have extra ones - Beauty, Bus Station and Fire Station and do NOT have Church, Exhibition Centre, Legal Other and School). TomTom's POIs don't include speed cameras which are handled differently by TomTom.
If you want to have your own personal set of speed cameras, made up of two camera files you own already, then you can merge those yourself (see Andy_P's post above) and install them yourself as one OV2 file.
Because you talked of Autovelox, I can't help feeling maybe you have got hold of some TomTom camera files from some unofficial source and want to put them on your device. We don't support such piracy. _________________ Dennis
