This is what I'm looking at....I can pick the voice I want to install but no TTS

Only reason you would not be offered them would be because they're already installed. Have you checked to see what voices are listed on your nuvi?

I have these 4 voices -
English_British_Daniel, James, Kate and Serena.vpm

I'll try and reinstall these voices and see if this does anything

Thinks have now a bit strange Confused .... had no voice at all this morning when i used the unit. My voice had been set to Kate from my list, but i noticed that i only had 3 choices to choose from.....Kate or James or English British.
I then selected English British and i now have a voice but again i don't have the TTS as well.
When i looked on the folder after connecting the unit to my computer i had 5 English British voices to choose from - 4 named voices and English British

Strange indeed. You can tell the TTS voice files as they are way larger in size than the normal voices. Are all the voice files you see around the same size?

WebUpdater will show/replace any missing files. As it hasn't either they are there and not working or there is another problem.

Can you look in the Garmin directory on your nuvi? There should be a GarminDevice.xml file there. What size is it? If 0kb delete it, in fact delete it regardless of size, then disconnect the nuvi from your PC then reboot the nuvi. Switch it off and reconnect it to the PC. The .xml file should be somewhere in the region of 50kb, check it now is. The reason for this is that sometime this file can become corrupted, and it's that file that holds details about your nuvi. Deleteing it forces the nuvi to recreate it.

Now try WebUpdater again.

Of course you said you had a back up, so copying all the voice files from your back up onto your nuvi should also resolve the issue Smile

Well I've removed the GarminDevice.xml file and it can back, as you said it would and the size is 38kb.
I've also ran by back up as well - will see how things go in the morning but my Voice Folder does not show voices with TTS after them
