I am leaving for St Tropez at 5am and after buying Central Europe, and updating and it crashing and me not having a backup or having done the latest map guarantee ever, I have a tomtom XL Live that doesn't see the Europe map even though I can see it is on its memory, what should I do?
Do I copy everything across in Explorer and then let the device update its self and then copy back England folder? Or do I delete Europe folder and let it re-copy??
Please help
Thanks |

Try a drum reset on the unit by holding the power button about 20 seconds till you hear the drum sounds unless your model has a dedicated reset hole
Also, on the device--manage maps--switch maps. What shows there? _________________ David |

What do you mean when you say you see the map in 'memory'?
Connect to Home--Manage my Device (2nd page)--Items on Device--maps, what shows there?
Items on computer--maps--what shows there? _________________ David |

I actually deleted everything off the tomtom in windows explorer and then let tomtom home update it, surprisingly I got the UK map and then the Europe map, didn't realise you can't navigate between maps and my god the Europe map makes the thing so slow it is barely useable!
All working ok now (ish) thank you very much for your help. |
