Well, if anyone didn't know the main A38 queensway tunnels through the centre of Birmingham shut on Friday night completely until the 2nd Sept for maintenance.
It's been advertised heavily for the last 6 months.
Live traffic shows them as open !!!
I've had to mark them as closed on mapshare otherwise my device still tries to take me through them. |

On their online map at http://routes.tomtom.com, it's showing delays on the surface roads that bypass the tunnels. I guess Brumtunnels didn't tell TT or they have ignored the info thinking they know best.
At least listening to local radio this morning, people have got the message as there were more train travellers than usual.
TT should be directing their paying customers around the closures at the Middleway though.

Exactly. It detects the traffic queues but then to get past them it diverts you down the closed tunnels !
I'm going to be working from another office where I can over the next 6 weeks. |

I'm lucky as I I tend to use the Middleway to get around as I'm highly unlikely to want to get through north/south bound.
I've informed TomTom so we'll see what happens.

One of my main routes to work was closed for a month during the snow (A6024 out of Holmfirth). TomTom showed it open all that time, even for two weeks after I reported it to them. _________________ (Older kit: TomTom Go Original, 910, 940 Live, 1005 Live and Snooper S4 Neo.
