To celebrate Summer (or perhaps their impressive 30 million downloads) Sygic are knocking 30% off the price of their Android and iOS navigation apps. You can get full European mapping for £30.99 or UK & Ireland for just £17.49. Not bad considering Sygic offer free map updates along with regular updates and features. They also make it easy to add your own POIs to the app, including our speed camera database.
For more information and links to the Android and iOS stores please head over to http://www.sygic.com.

Thanks for bringing this software to my attention... great price and interesting to see it uses Tomtom maps...
The ability to import the speedcam database is really the ultimate feature... couldnt find a direct compatible file, need to check how to the conversion can be done via mac |

The 'Sygic Aura' file is the one to download and use the Sygic POI converter program. Don't know about Macs though and I couldn't find a Mac version of POI converter for Mac, but I bet there is one somewhere.
I use sygic on my Android phone wit the PGPSW speedcams loaded to see them on the map, but with no alerts. I get my alerts from PGPSW's fine CamerAlert app that gives directional warnings. This gives me the best of both worlds. Oh if the GPS software people would design directional alerts (iGO manage it nicely, so WTH can't the rest?) |

It's Windows only for the conversion software... Do you have Paralells or other VM set up?
I wonder if it'd work under WINE or CrossOver

I should be able to find a PC around ;)
So the importerd database+Sygic dont know in which direction you are traveling?
What about the map updates. I see they come free, do you think they are in sync with the latest releases from tomtom? The latest tomtom map is version 910 and came out in april/may |

When you import the PGPSW database to Sygic, it is not directional on Sygic, but all the cams show up on the map. Of course Sygic knows what direction you are travelling, but their third party POI algorithm does not take into consideration the directional data available from PGPSW . That's why I run CA in the background. I can see the cams in Sygic but get the alerts from CA which only alerts if you are travelling in the right direction to get caught. Cams on the other side of the road also show in Sygic, but CA does not alert for them. OK? I'm asking questions later
Sygic have just (last week) released new maps. It's called 2013.03 if that means anything to anyone. My guess would be .03 being month which you say are the latest
PS. In their latest software update they have screwed up the display of THEIR OWN speed cams, just displaying a white or blue square and you can't turn them off . They are aware of the problem and say they are going to fix it PDQ. |

Trouble is that when the Sygic cams are really close to the PGPSW ones, the Sygic squares hide our icons and you can't switch theirs off since they screwed them up. You used to be able to |

Have been reading around and I can see that the DiskAid trick to import the speedcams/poi is working again with the latest Tomtom app so I think buying their app will be the best "all in one" sort of solution |

But you don't need the 'DiskAid trick' for Sygic as they have an official import option via iTunes.
