Does anyone have advice on a GO1005 that loses its Live connection regularly but always reconnects after switching off and on again? _________________ Device: GO 600, Live connected via iPhone 5.

Clearly it only happens to me! Strange thing is that my Go 940 and 950 both did this after a while, and an earlier Go 910 just kept rebooting.
Just wondering if the "All new" 6000 might be any better...? _________________ Device: GO 600, Live connected via iPhone 5.

You really seem to have your ironic head on this morning Dennis Was it something you ate?
@HenryMitchell. I think you can take Dennis' answer to your question to be "No". |

TomTom have never really got to the bottom of their connections issues. I've had every model so far and believe it or not, the 1005 has been my best performer by far. Their issue seems to be down to a combination of poor cellular reception and retry timeouts. Plus the fact they are all only on 2G rather than the much faster 3G. The switch off and back on resets the retry timeout and as soon as the unit restarts, it tries to connect. If you've been driving though a poor reception area and on every retry, the signal happens to lose, then eventually the unit seems to only retry every 15 mins or longer. The new units which connect by phone are in a different class. Just like the TomTom apps, live traffic is available within seconds instead. If you live and drive only in a good mobile reception area, you'll be fine, but if not, then like me it's often hit and miss. _________________ (Older kit: TomTom Go Original, 910, 940 Live, 1005 Live and Snooper S4 Neo.
