|
|
I have just brought a kangoo van 2013 version and it has a TomTom built into it ? my questions are , can I still put the speed camera database from here on it, but its a std card ???
And can I transfer my subscription from my 1005 model to the one in my van ?
As i want to sell my 1005 and get a 6000 and use the free live services and hopefully in time they will put pois on the unit so i can use the database of spped cams from here ?
Thanx |

You should have bought my Kangoo van (2010, with TomTom Carminat) - it's up for sale.
Anyway, yes you can do everything with the TomTom. Just get the card out, (use the menu option to remove SD card) put it into the card reader on your computer and it will behave exactly like a real TomTom. It will load a different version of TomTom Home (NOT MyTOmTom which you use for your 1005) - just the usual one, but with a Renault logo. The real pain you can't do is Operate my Carminat on the computer.
Your PGPSW subscription is valid for up to three devices in your household, so you can use it for the Carminat. You don't need to transfer the 1005 registration. Download, unzip and copy/paste into the map folder just like any other Nav 2 PND - This is different from the 1005 method.
Hint. I take it you have a remote control for it. It uses two AAA batteries and eats them like crazy, so carry a couple of spares all the time, you can't use the TT without them. _________________ Dennis

If the remote eats AAA batteries you might want to get some eneloop or Turnigy low self discharge rechargeable AAA batteries. |
