I just installed MyTomTom from the TomTom website on XP.
It installs okay but when I run the applications (start/All Programs/TomTom/MyTomTom) I get this error message.
MyTomTomSA.exe - Application Error
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002). Click on OK to terminate the application.
What can I do?

I have raised this with TomTom support which seems pretty useless but I suppose if I don't give up they will eventually have to figure out the problem.
Currently the PC is running no AV and no firewall, as well as having myTomTom reinstalled as that is what they asked. It still doesn't work.
Luckily it dual boots Linux so I don't actually have to use the computer with no security.
I'm surprised that no one else is having this problem. |

Are you as up to date as possible with Service Pack 3 on your XP?
Also, you may wish to uninstall/reinstall again but this time first download the freeware version of Revo Uninstaller from here:
http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html
and completely uninstall Home 3.
Then get a fresh copy from tomtom.com/getstarted. _________________ David |

This is now working.
The problem is that the program needs Microsoft dotNET 3.5 framework in order to function, but there is no warning if this is missing.
Now that I have install dotNET 3.5 it is all working fine. |
