Hi
Just bought my first Garmin after moving across from TomTom.
A couple fo quick questions, I have downloaded and installed the Garmin Express and connected it to my Garmin.
1) Do I have to do anything specific apart from register my device to get the lifetime map updates.
2) For the traffic service included do i have to register that or just plug it in and play.
3) How do I turn of the standard POI's as I have had a look and it doesnt seem as simple as tomtom.
Thanks

Hello from Worthing
The POI's for Garmin dont seem as customisable as the ones for TomTom.
For example Speed cameras on tomtom you can set custom distance and custome nosies for different camera types.
It seems that Garmin cant do this, its either on or off and one sound.
Is this right as might still have to use the tomtom for speed cameras and the garmin for navigating.
How do I delete the POI's off, do I have to go via the usb cable plugged into my PC onto the device
Cheers |

Yes, Garmin speed cameras are either on or off, but they work fine
As for POIs, they're part of the map data so you can't 'delete' the POIs, just affect when they're shown as in the link I gave you. |
