Having replaced the battery in my 920 I am now finding that I cannot connect to my Iphone 4s. To be fair I have not really used this function and the TT was still 'paired' to an old Nokia I used to have. I deleted the nokia from the TT but now, despite the iphone bluetooth being on and working ( pairs to ipad, and via 135 ok ) I just cannot get the TT to recognise any bluetooth devices. I have reset etc etc but nothing.
Research suggests that this has been a problem for many but I cannot find any resolution to the problem.
Can anybody help please? |

From what I've seen on here, TT bluetooth pairing is pretty famous for being poor.
The only "solution" I could suggest is to try again. And again. And again. It is possible that eventually it may pair, that has been the case for some people.
Or revert to an old Nokia - somehow TT managed to pair with some, then seem to have stopped developing the pairing thing! _________________ Dennis

Thank you. Willing to try anything. Problem is none of the links to the hififix zip files seem to work. Will google a bit later to see if it is available any where. Or does anybody have a good link or the file they could send me please? |

Hold on my last post. tracked a link down from Andy_P here. Have downloaded ok , will play later.

One question, reference is made to downloading to the root of the TT. What / where does this mean? Is it straight to the top folder of the TT under which all the other folders sit? |

Thanks for rememberring those previous posts, but I'm afraid I don't think the files in my links will help here...
They were for a "fix" in the Blutooth Hi-Fi protocol (A2DP), for connecting units to car radios etc for the music player.
I'm not 100% sure, but PRETTY sure they won't help for connections to mobile phones (its a different BT protocol)
---------------
General info... the "root" or "root directory, is just the top level of the TomTom's storage, where the loose files are (and all the other folders, like your map).
It's an old computer term, I believe. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

Ah.. Back to square one then? Doh. Can't revert back to the old Nokia in the car as the iPhone uses different sim. Double doh! |
