I have created a txt file with locations of 4 speed cameras here in Thailand in the format: X,Y,TYPE,SPEED,DIRTYPE,DIRECTION
At the moment the DIRTYPE is set to 2 (both directions) and DIRECTION is set to 0. All 4 cameras appear on the map and the warnings are working OK.
I now want to add the DIRECTION values as all 4 cameras work only in one direction.
Can someone please advise how accurate do the DIRECTION values need to be; how much margin does the system allow. For example, if the DIRECTION is set at say 15, but the car heading is 18, will the camera still give a warning?
Also, I am not sure which heading I should use. I guess it is the direction the car is going, not the direction the camera is pointing.

Set DIRTYPE to 1 and the DIRECTION is the direction that you have to be travelling in to get caught by the cam.
Incidentally, I'm surprised that with your setting of DIRTYPE to 2 and DIRECTION to 0 that iGO alerts to cams when travelling E/W as you have set up a reversible camera with a heading of 360/0 i.e. N/S.
For non directional cams, set the DIRTYPE to 0 (or leave it blank) and leave the DIRECTION field blank NOT 0.
The algorithm that iGO uses is good for detecting the cams that you will get caught by and rejecting those trapping in the other direction and those on side roads. In your example, Yes it will be OK. The approximate angles are that you have to be travelling to within about +- 45 degrees of the Direction the cam is set to. If you Google around, there is info on how to modify the SYS.TXT file to alter this angle, the distance 'off your road' and warning distances for various speeds.
Set your DIRECTION as said above, but watch out with the direction for those that might be 'hiding round a corner'.
