|

Hi, apologies if this has been asked before, but is it possible to disable the annoying sound effect that plays when you go past a mobile speed camera location?
As it's not a good idea to be using any device while driving, why does Camera Alert come up with the tick/cross when going past a mobile speed camera location anyway?
Otherwise it's a v.good system.
Thanks in advance,
Dobbs.
PS - this is on a Sony Arc S smart phone if that makes any difference and I've had a quick look for possible sfx's but can't find any in the CA default location... |

So that you can report a camera site if you consider it is safe to do so, and can thereby improve the accuracy of the database.
Think about it.. EVERY camera in the database was reported by someone somehow. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

Hi dobbs,
You should be able to silence / change the sounds and warnings in the 'settings' of CA app.
Click on the settings from the menu and the very first option on mine is a tick box to turn on/off a sound warning. The ones below are to fine tune them.
I'm on a Galaxy S3, should be the same on your phone though. _________________ Triumph Tbird 1700. And now a Bonnie T100. |

Experimented with my settings today to try to find an answer. As 253 says, if you un-check the "sound warnings" in settings the sound effect stops. Unfortunately, it is an All-or-Nothing setting, so you'll get no warnings at all, not even the ones on approach. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

This is on the to-do list for the next version. You will be able to select the sound for the mobile button enable-ma-thingie, including the aptly named sound "Silence" _________________ Lutz
