|
|
In a lot of Youtube reviews of my garmin Zumo 660 it shows in Tools page2 an icon of a book name Language Guide.
On checking my 660, I have no language guide icon.
I have checked the Garmin folder on the internal memory and it has a folder named "LEX_PKG" where the dictionaries are stored, but it is only 702Kb in size and states in the "lex_pkg.ver" file "Garmin Language Guide sample version 2.00" so I would have thought the icon should be present with a working sample. All languages and text are still installed
Can anyone help. |

Have you tried scrolling down the Tools page? |

Well in that case I'm not sure what point you're making ...
If it is that you don't have what matches YouTube then it may simply be a change in software between what's on the video and in your Zumo. As you haven't purchased the guide I don't know why you're worrying
I have the icon on my 1490, but if I click on it it says I need to go to a website and purchase it; I'd rather the icon wasn't there
But if you're that fussed try calling Garmin Customer Support. |

We are a pretty friendly lot here, and we all try to help. If we get is slightly wrong there is no need to be so nasty. Otherwise people won't bother trying to help you. Just a tip to a new poster _________________ Peter

I didn't post my reply to sound nasty, I just said it the way it was. I am sorry if I offended anyone.
Anyway, I have just been told by Garmin that although I have the software installed, ie: LEZ_PKG it doesn't work unless I download it from the Garmin website @£30. I was also told to check the compatibilty list before doing so, and guess what my Zumo 660 is not compatible, yet I have seen it working on another one.
I wish I had stuck to my TomTom wrapped up in plastic for my motobike. |
