I assume this has not changed since I keep finding only this thread?
Just picked up an 09 C5 and would be nice to use the built in Nav instead of the TomTom or Iphone. |

Zebedy,
Afraid so
The only reasons I can think PGPSW don't support it is down to licencing or just due to the very small installed base.
I still have little old Garmin Nuvi on windscreen with PGPSW camera data base.
Hope you enjoy the C5, still have mine and its still behaving its self, just coming up to 60K.

It's actually because we are yet to be told what format the files need to be in.
Going back through the thread over the years it is something we have asked for but never got a response.
So the options are either:
1) Lend us your car and satnav for a few months and we can try and work it out.
or
2) Tell us the format that is needed.

Don't think I ever received any files? Certainly can't find any email in my inbox... Unless I'm searching for the wrong address!

Whilst I think of it, I had my C5 in to Citroen dealers today for service and asked if they could update the mapping on the Navidrive. They said they could but it would be cheaper for me to go direct to Navtec and purchase from them - that apparently is what Citroen do.
So I guess that now confirms that its a Navtec system were dealing with.
Don't know if that helps ?

The nav software writers use mostly either Navteq or TeleAtlas (Now TomTom) MAPS to navigate on. (There are other map makers as well) |

Got 'em, cheers.
Unfortunately it's an encrypted format so unlikely we'd be able to do anything at the moment.

I've updated the speed camera database in the Navidrive in 2011 C5 using a file I paid £7.99 for. I got that from a link on a Ctiroen site (http://citroen.navigation.com/C5-2011-NaviDrive-3D/citroen-eu/catalog/en_GB/GBP/) but I want to add my own POIs such as the nearest pub listed in the CAMRA goog beer guide! *
In order to do that, like you I need to know the file format. Searching produced this link - http://www.planete-citroen.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-154421.html (there's an English translation on the page) and a link to a program navlwdb_tool.exe which is for 'educational purposes'. So I guess that this would constitute education :-)
Hope this helps in your search for a file format.
*in case you're wondering, no I don't drink and drive. One of my sons is tea-total and he's insured to drive the car. |

Actually,
I was rather hoping that MaFt might be persuaded to take a look ;-)
I'm more of a hardware man than software so if somebody offers to take up the mantle, I'd be more than willing to let them. |
