Do any of the current Tomtoms allow me to plan on the PC and download routes? We tow a caravan and would rather check routes on Streetview for nasty bits and then plan accordingly.
NB not interested in paying a kings ransom for one of the trucking/caravan satnavs. |

Afraid not. Just another stupid decision on the part of TT to reduce functionality on newer models. _________________ David |

We have a motorhome and I wanted the ITN planning feature for a similar reason.
When my old TT died I did a lot of research and bypassed the newer range and instead found a brand new TomTom GO 750 LIVE which came with European mapping. Excellent device and I can again plan itineries to my heart's content.
The LIVE feature is also brilliant (although a tad patchy of late) and has diverted me around several traffic delays including an accident en route to Dover and a big delay around the Brussels Ring Road.
You might be able to still find a new one or try TomTom where they have a refurbished one for £139 http://www.tomtom.com/en_gb/shop/tomtom-outlet-store/go-750-live-refurbished/
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies, guys.
I find it hard to get my head around the reasons for reducing the usefulness of a product.
Anyway I will probably head off in te direction od Garmin as some of its models still accept pre=planned routes. Garmins Mapsource is an excellent tool for planning as it uses the identical maps to the satnav and includes lotys of pois too. |

Itinerary planning works on all software versions up to, and including, v9
Anything running v10/11/12 software (i.e. all the new "Nav3" models) will not have it. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |
