Yes, it's forcing you to download it BUT if you want to use non-registered devices on this latest version it won't allow you to and INSISTS you enter your username & password!!!!
To get round this, & to stop TTHome trying to force new versions on you:-
Navigate to: C:\Program Files\TomTom HOME 2\xul
Using Notepad, Wordpad or another text editor, edit the file in xul called application.ini as follows:
In the line which reads 'Version=2.X.X.XXXX' (matching the version you have just installed), modify the FIRST number to read '3.X.X.XXXX'
THAT will make it think you already have a later version than the one it's trying to force on you[/b] |
