| Tomtom have now confirmed that HD Traffic 6.0 has been activated in the UK. Has anyone noticed any differences? |

Yes an odd one this morning, where the B462 meets the A41 east of Watford, it said where the was traffic heading south west on the B462 Hartspring Lane (under the M1) towards the A41 that there was queuing traffic from Radlett Road to Potters Bar. Potters Bar is not on this road and is around 8 miles in the opposite direction.

The traffic information is better than yesterday? Doesnt quite work does it.

Traffic was not working properly on the M40 this evening.
Delay said 4 minutes....I was stuck for an hour! Not happy.
Most of the time the HD traffic was dead not reporting.
It was only when there was a 59 minute delay it started working.
I should of avoided the motorway after seeing the 4 minute delay. Grrr.

Can you say WHERE you've seen this confirmed, please petekk?
Or can anyone else confirm it?
I cannot find any mention of it on the TT Website or on TT Discussions, nor have I heard it from any other channels!

But that press release does NOT say it has been currently rolled out in the UK, just that it will in all those countries by the end of December. for example, we in Canada got HD 6.0 about 3 weeks ago. The US does NOT have it yet...

I've just read the release. Maybe it has changed? But it says it's already in United States and UK....

I have also used tomtom support chat, who confirmed that hd traffic 6.0 was now active, and that there was nothing that the user had to do (i.e update) to benefit.
I must be in the minority that I never had a complaint about traffic before, however since the "improvement" I am not detecting jams that do not exist, and getting stuck in jams not reported. |
