This may be a silly question but at no point can I find which database is downloaded on to CamerAlert when you press Download Database. Is it the UK or EUR or AUS/NZ or USA or AFRICA or CANADA or ASIA? Surely not ALL of them? I'm looking for the UK and EUR.
Thanks

This sounds a bit silly, but if you want both UK and EUR then d/l UK and EUR as well. The EUR d/b does not include UK because UK uses MPH and EUR uses KPH.

That's a load of tosh . For CA you download from in app and you get the lot.

Just to clarify - you get all the world in the download. The only thing you have to do is change your units to Kilometers when in a Kilometers country. Pretty impressive, innit? Press a button and down come the latest cameras.

Does the download include France and Switzerland (which are "illegal" to use in their respective countries.) If so is there a way to delete them (just in case there are any law-abiding forum members Very Happy )

Swiss cameras are not included. French ones are. There's a long thread HERE which has been running for 18 months or so about the French situation. I switched my camera warnings off whilst in France, switched on again for the rest of the tour, then forgot to switch them off again when we re-entered later in the holiday and I didn't feel alarmed - I don't recall seeing a single traffic cop (although I was deliberately avoiding motorways). I did submit changes to the French cameras when I found them.

ALL cameras (swiss and french included) are in the cameralert download.

if you don't want to use them then simply close cameralert when driving in those countries.

I updated the database prior to leaving the UK, then switched from mph to kmh when I arrived in Continental Europe. I did not get any warnings at all, which seems unlikely given your database coverage. Is there any way to cross check I have done everything correctly? Works very well in the UK. Regards

First thing would be to check where you drove on our submission map ( http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Cameras&op=SubmitCamera ) and see if we have camera data for that area.
