My error, you are quite right. I don't have your model so relied on something posted elsewhere but having checked it seems the latest 23xx and 24xx series will give an audible alert if you drive over the speed limit on any road, provided of course the nuvi knows the speed limit of the road. And as you say it can be turned off |

i can confirm the 2390 does provide a audible-beep if went over speed limit, but I'm sure i got it working with another warning (if you use camera manager) - it can be annoying in some situations where the speed for the road is incorrect |
