|

I first subscribed in April 19, 2011. I submitted several (three, I think?) cameras for verification and was subsequently awarded Lifetime Membership. I therefore cancelled my PayPal subscription on July 15, 2011.
Given the current financial squeeze we're all undergoing, I'm happy to contribute but, rather than having to remember to donate every so often, I'm willing simply to renew my subscription.
The problem is that, as far as I can see on the PayPal website, I can't just reactivate the old sub. If I try to subscribe afresh from here on the PGPSW website, will that create a new account, thereby losing me history - and life-member kudos - fron the current acount? |

Top right of the page, click the tab "My Account". Drop down box includes "Renew now" (which I did on my own life membership last month) and Make a Donation. Being anti Paypal myself, I was able to do it without using that facility - it extended my membership by another year. I'm sure it won't auto renew next year though, so I'll have to remember to do it again. _________________ Dennis

I think that you can renew using the "Subscribers Area" tab at the top of the page then select "Your Subscription" then select the "subscriber" link in "You are subscriber" near the bottom of the page then select the "Renew Now" button mid way down that page.
This should extend your lifetime subscription and automatically take the £20 each year without changing your user name.
ETA: DennisN beat me to it and has a slightly easier method. I think that the subscription will be recurring each year if you pay using PayPal. _________________ Paul |

Having done it, you could always check your PP acct to see if it is recurring |

Many thanks to all three of you, guys.
I followed Dennis's suggestion to the Renew Now button (where there's actually a text that kind of corresponds to my question - didn't find it before, obviously! ). Clicking on the button called up my previous PayPal details, and going to the PayPal button the sub was renewed.
@ M8TJT : I also went back in to the PP a/c afterwards and the sub appears to be a recurring payment again.
So payments are resumed, my conscience is clear, and I can sleep easily - but not at the wheel, I hope!
Thanks again. |
