OK, so I understand the settings for going into hibernate mode after a set period of inactivity, but how do I out it into hibernate manually, i.e. now? The manual says "Switch the unit into Hibernate mode (Settings -
Advanced Power Control - Hibernate Timeout)," but there is no option to "hibernate now", only either 'never' or a number of hours.

Is it possible to go straight to hibernate mode?

Would be useful as I could set up the route etc, then go into hibernate while I drive to the start then wake it up so it would be much quicker at being ready.

The hibernate setting dictates what happens when you turn the unit off. It either goes straight to off or it goes into deep sleep for n hours before turning off completely.

As you have probably found hibernate allows a faster fix on turn on.

Ah - I think I misunderstood how the hibernate timeout works. I thought that if it was set to say 2 hours, then it would go into hibernate mode after that time. As I now understand it, if hibernate is set for say 2 hours, when I turn the A10 "off" it will actually go straight into hibernate mode for 2 hours before powering off completely.

Thanks Andy for enlightening me.
