It does seem absolutely barmy if it is the case that all the current creme of the crop handsets are not compatible.

Purchased and downloaded with no major problems.
Traffic subscription purchased £26.99 for 12 months.

I do like the interface and menus much better than Copilot.
And the ability to interogate the traffic information.

Custom POI all work as well, just wish you could edit / add them within the app.

I've just checked and the app is currently incompatible with the Nexus 7 tablet which is a shame.

I would really love a version for the 7" tablet sized screen.

I've seen it reported elsewhere that support for larger screens will be available before the end of the year (but they don't say which year...)

It currently works well on my HTC Desire HD but it looks like I may have to revert to Co-Pilot temporarily when the Note 2 arrives.

This lack of HD support seems quite suspicious to me...

Let's think about this for a minute:
Apple has been driving TomTom sales on iOS, and it's been very lucrative to both companies.

Apple has purchased TomTom data for their frankenmap creations (see what I did there?).
I wouldn't think it far-fetched to suggest that Apple may have perhaps "suggested" to TomTom that delay the high res support, so as not to loose out on iPhone5 sales - especially in the midst of this snafu iOS mapping.

Don't forget that loosing an iPhone5 sale also means loosing the 30% income from future App sales within the iOS ecosystem, as well as all the possible media sales. I remember reading somewhere that although Apple has less users than Android, the Apple users spend more - so they should be more valuable as individual customers to Apple.

For what it's worth, TomTom has stated that they will support the likes of the S3 by year-end.

Me, I'm in a bit of a pickle, as I was hoping to sell or pass on my TT750 and rely fully on the S3.
My TT750 LIVE services run out this month and I don't want to pay for another year of LIVE updates - especially if the map updates cost more than the full Android version of TT which has free perpetual maps...

We are committed to supporting higher resolutions on an ongoing basis.

The app requires 215 MB to 3,7 GB of free space, depending on the app and the associated map.

So basically, older phones... I've been waiting for TomTom so guess I'm stuck with CoPilot for the time being as my S3 is higher resolution (along with several colleagues who have them and the HTC One X etc... and the one person currently running copilot on his tablet mounted in the car who was looking forward to TomTom...)

Personally, I think TomTom have goofed big time with this as the current high end phones with higher screen resolutions are proving popular and should have been supported in the first release
