That would mean swapping the entire rear half of the case, as the "springs" for the switch button are just two plastic strips ultrasonically welded to the case. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

Thanks for all replies so far.
I've decided I'm just going to replace my 940. I want a device that has LIVE services and can be attached to a powered bracket (similar to my existing 940). This appears to leave me with the x1000 series but I hear mixed reviews although the hardware review on this site by Mike Barrett gives it 8.5/10 which I would say is pretty good.
Think I will try the 1005 and see for myself and if it's too bad then I'll just send it back. _________________ TT GO 1005 |

I've found that leaving the top right case screw loose, seems to allow the external button to "pop up", rather than get stuck down - hopefully this will see me through until eBay throws up a donor.
Can someone confirm that the external case for the 540, 550, 740, 750, 940 & 950 are all the same? And remind me what the functional differences between the 940 & 950 were? _________________ Jock
