|
|
I have a 1005 Europe and my 1 year 'free' live services are about to end. TOMTOM have emailed saying I can renew for £47.50 for a year.
Question is - is this the cheapest I will be offerred by TOMTOM or should I let subscription lapse so they offer me a discount (yeah right!)?
I drive a lot of miles to different places with my job and the HD traffic is useful although nowhere near as accurate as I hoped. The google local search is so slow I use my smartphone internet browser and of course I only use pocketgps cameras so all in all £47.50 is more than I would like to pay for the benefits I get.
Also - if I do not renew then does the gpsfix never get updated as old units used to be updated by PC connection rather than via SIM card?
Anyone know of any offers out there?
Thanks |

They have started a new discount of saving 30% if you extend now.
I received an email on this today, probably because I had just extended a few weeks ago. _________________ Drivelux |

In the past offers were to be found on Amazon (currently £55.36 after a quick search!) and Halfords had a clear out a while ago (I got a twelve month Live services card from Halfords for not a lot of money earlier in the year)
Note that the pre-paid Live subscription cards work with "any" TT Live unit (they extend the service by 12 months, whatever the end date) while tomap update subscription cards only work on a "new" (less than a mnth or so since first registration).
It is just a question of waiting and watching for any offers surfacing.
The TT offer seems quite competitive (for TT - not an amount I would wish to pay!). _________________ TomTom Go 540 - V9.058, Map GB & Ireland 860.3101
