I recently downloaded the trial version of Sygic for Andriod. I was reading their 'Common Problems' forum and came across this. Support Team wrote: | Real Time Traffic - inaccurate information | Answer from support Quote: | Hi all,
good news, we have decided to change our traffic provider. We will use TomTom traffic where we use TomTom maps and Navteq traffic where we use Navteq maps.

Quality of our traffic service will improve significantly. For the TomTom traffic part, we will no longer use TMC technology but OpenLR instead. OpenLR provides traffic coverage also on secondary roads and accuracy is better. | Now where can I find that ROTFL emocicons that Dennis uses frequently |

Its also interesting to note that Sygic charge less than a quarter the price for their TomTom Traffic than TomTom charge their own customers, Sygic £9.99, TomTom £47.99
How much would you pay.
I got Sygic traffic free for a year when I bought the latest version of Sygic for my new Android phone, that will give me more than enough time to assess its performance before it needs renewing.
