Impressed by the "From today, this service is available in Germany and The Netherlands, and will be available in 23 countries before the end of 2012."

I wonder if it will require a new NavCore to break my TT Go 540 (yet again)?

So, basically, they are advertising a new version of HD Traffic which promises to give, ermmmm, what was promised by previous versions and TMC before that Sad

I was never impressed with the peice of string round the windscreen to get TMC, but the GPRS version worked so they withdrew that (strangely that put the data transfer costs on the owner, not TT - odd)

65% more road closures reported sounds promising. I assume this is a back of house upgrade not dependant on navcore. hope so still waiting for my navcore update for free daily map changes must have the only device to not be updated yet

Another unsubstantiated soundbite from TomTom. Is there somewhere on the device which says what version of HD Traffic you are using?

"If you have a Live device, you've got HD 6, believe me I'm a TT PR guru." "If you've got HD 6, your traffic service is now 65% better than last week, believe me I'm a TT PR guru."

"If you've got a Live device, you've got speed cameras updated OTA, believe me etc."

If you've got a Live device, you've got up to date Fuel prices, believe me, etc."

As the amount of HD Traffic information increases the range from the device which it covers can only get shorter unless the data capacity increases and maybe they have found a way of doing this?

Of course once the information is totally accurate but down to a range of 100yds from the device it will be as good as the human eye in spotting traffic delays.

Yep just so. If there were 100 closures and TT reported one of them than an increase to reporting two of them is 100% increase, but still not very good coverage.
