Hi all, we're back!
When you first registered with PocketGPSWorld we promised that we would send you occasional updates. It's now been a quite while since we last published the Update Email as we've been working hard (honest!) preparing reviews and articles for you (excuses, excuses!).
However as new member 'WilberDaForce' was our 10,000th member to register recently, we thought we'd better mark the occasion, get our fingers out and start the Update Emails off again!
So here it is and we hope you like it. We currently have three sections: 'Latest GPS News', 'Latest GPS Reviews' and 'Most Read Reviews'. If you have any comments, please post them in this thread.
If you are operating any kind of challenge or email blocking system then please whitelist newsletter@pocketgpsworld.com to continue receiving this update.
If you are registered on the site and you are not receiving the update mail this may be because you have registered on the site with an email address such as spam@ or using an address which would typically be a distribution list such as info@ sales@ webmaster@ etc. If you have done this and wish to have the updates sent to your mail box please sign up using the Email Updates box to the top left of the site.
If you would like to unsubscribe please scroll to the bottom of the email and click on 'Instant removal with SafeUnsubscribe'. We would love it if you stayed with us though! _________________ Mike Barrett |

Any chance of making the newsletter available in plain text rather than HTML?
It's unreadable to me as it stands - my mail client is configured to only show plain text. _________________ Philip |

We have just released the latest PocketGPSWorld.com email update 7th Feb 2005.
Some of the feedback that we have received requested that we provide an online version in addition to the email. We have listened and this issue can be read by clicking here.
If you have any comments please post them in this forum _________________ Mike Barrett |

Hi,
Hope someone can help me.........
I have filled the box top left of the page about Email Updates and i still haven't had one delivered into my inbox for the last 3 months.
Have there been none for this amount of time or is something amiss?
I have checked my spam/junk/crap folders and there's nothing in any of them.
Is there something i'm missing?
Hope someone knows the answer or can at least point me in the right direction.
Cheers

Hi Eq,
You havent missed anything yet. We have been so busy here over the last few months that the newsletter has fallen behind a bit.
Part of the problem is that we need to apply the new branding to the newsletter, and this takes time. We have felt that you would rather get reviews and articles than the newsletter, which just summarises the news page and lets you know what are the popular reviews and forum posts.
This is on our list of things to do and will happen after we revamp the POI and Speed Camera sections.

Update email says it is sent in HTML - but it isn't and because your "latest" link is so unreliable I could not read the anniversary one. :-(

sorry about that Dave, it was my fault. I forgot to upload the latest newsletter the morning of the release. However all is not lost, the anniversary email can be read here: http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/newsletters/newsletter-12-08-03.htm _________________ Mike Barrett |
