Installation on Parrot Asteroid

Hi, I have installed the .apk from the link and the installation goes ok. However, when I run it, it stalls with the message "Cameralert stopped due to process com.pocketgpsworld.cameralert stopping unexpectedly".
I have tried un-installing and re-installing with the same results. Other people seem to have succesfully installed it - could it be anything to do with the new software version from Parrot? I am on v1.6.1
Hoping someone can help.

Does CamerAlert show up in the list of installed programs?
if so, can you remove it from there, and then reinstall from the APK?

Hi, thanks for the reply. Yes it does show in the list of apps, with the icon also showing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled many, many times with the same result. I have even downgraded the OS to 1.4.3 and tried it with that, again with the same result. I am now wondering if it is the latest version of CamerAlert that is causing the problem.

As far as I can tell that is not the case. Quite a few people have installed the latest version on their updated Asteroids. Must be another reason.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but this is exactly what I am seeing.

I installed CamerAlert (dowload APK is called CamerAlert.Android.601.apk) after initially upgraded my Asteroid to 1.6.1. Whenever I run CamerAlert I just get a force close. Also the icon for CA is just an Android and nothing specific. I have tried removing and reinstalling, also I have redownloaded the APK but so far can get no further.

Did anyone else having similar problems ever resolve theirs? Also are there any logs I can get to help diagnose what is causing the crash?

Hi, I never did get a solution for this problem. It's good to see that I'm not the only one suffering this. I've given up trying to run it on the Asteroid.

lbendlin is there anything I can do to try and resolve this please - log files etc that could be found.
I installed the 601 apk from SD Card and also created the audio directory.
