Any idea who makes the sat-nav unit?
Navteq are just the raw map-makers, the maps always need to be repackaged by the actual satnav manufacturer.
If it's a factory-fit by Mazda, you might need to contact Mazda direct. But from previous forum posts it seems the manufacturers (or their main dealers) often don't have much of a clue themselves!
Factory-fit unit updates always seem to be diabolically expensive too! _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

I have tried to get a make and model of the head unit but have been unable to find it.
Have tried talking to the dealer and the parts department does not have a clue.
So thought I would post on here to see if anyone else has managed to get further than me. |

Open the glove compartment, and look at the top far end inside the compartment - you shall see a DVD unit. With the ignition key in place and in ACC position and the satnav unit turned on, you can eject the disc. On the disc it is written the part number.
Hope this helps - I'm also trying to find an update at the moment... |
