Hi, I am unable to link my PGPS account as on Asteroid there is no "_" available. Can this be fixed at all? I assume I need a support ticket?
Thought I'd post here too so others can see too. |

A support ticket is probably the best option as you shall need a name change if possible, suggest you include your preferred new name using the characters that are available on the asteroid. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

You may have tried it but the following is lifted from page 11 of the Asteroid User guide pdf download
Quote: | The digital keyboard appears when you are asked to enter the PIN code of your 3G key or when you would like to enter a number or a DTMF.
The alphanumeric keyboard appears when you enter your login info, which is
required when using Internet applications.
Use the knob to select letters / numbers. Push the knob to confirm. Push the knob for 2 seconds to display the accented characters that correspond to the selected letter.
The (three lines on top of each other - Menu?) button displays special numbers and characters on the alphanumeric keyboard.
To validate your entry, select OK.

Does that help in any way? _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

I've no access to your type of system but have you tried replacing the "_" with a space, over the years some computer systems interpret a space as "_" (underscore)

Support have now altered my username to remove the _ in it.
Just gone out to my asteroid and put the details in and all working.
BUT I originally tried the install on an older Asteroid firmware, but have since upgraded to the 1.6 beta version; it now has all characters available. There are now 4 pages available via the menu button to the side. Originally there was a shift option, then one additional page only!
