I've been advised that initial glitches in the servers have been resolved. Can you try again, please? _________________ David |

Also updated on my GL 1000 though it did crash a few times during installation probably not helped by the brief power cut as a result of the thunderstorms here in Nottingham this morning. |

Apart from the POI Icons having a shadow effect I cannot see any obvious changes. I did get a map share update. _________________ -------------------------

That's the point. This application now finally allows for all Nav3 devices to get mapshare updates. _________________ David |

Tried again and this time it also worked reporting also App 12.035.991250.74 on my 1050.
It will be cool if Mapshare actually works after what must be 18 months...

Upgraded this morning, all went well and have had the initial mapshare corrections download.
I also did a map correction on my 1005 for a local road where traffic flow has been reversed. I was pleased to note that afterwards my speed camera voice warnings were still present as were my favourites. This process on previous models/firmware has caused them to be lost....the voice warnings definitely.
Question though, why has it taken TT so long to provide mapshare functionali for the Go 10 range? |

So to get and make any mapshare changes are we going to have to dock the device with our computers or will they make it do it over the air?

You shouldn't need to connect to make mapshare changes. That can be done unconnected. I'm willing to bet to submit it and to get new ones made by others you'll have to connect. |

Hi,
I've been offered this today, went to download and install, and I have the website recognising I have a GO LIVE 1005, and the download text saying "except go live 1005/1015"
Am I missing something, becasue reading the post it appears some of you with "my" model have successfully installed the update.
Thanks |

I've edited the topic title to give both version numbers being used.
MyTomTom will report the update as v12.041 if you click on "more info", but once loaded onto the device the software will be reported correctly as v12.035.
This is a long-running TomTom cock-up. The team that puts the software on the server got it wrong once and now seem unable to get back in sync.
Why they cannot just talk to the people down the corridor who write the software and come up with a numbering system they can BOTH use is a mystery..... _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |
