I registered using "my guide" as my GPS of choice. I have now ditched this and instead want to use the database exclusively on two android smartphones I use . Is this possible without taking out two subscriptions? At present I believe you prohibit more than one mobile phone being registered |

Thanks for this FrequentFlyer so I thought until I found this posting from Darren :

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you change your Android phone having used CamerAlert on a previous handset, be that Android, or iPhone then your subscription is locked to the previous device.
A PocketGPSWorld.com subscription can only be linked to a single mobile device at present but we recognise that occasionally devices get lost stolen, replaced or upgraded.

I have tried to link to second android using my subscription link but it didn't work
Thanks again |

Hang about 'till Darren or someone who knows about these things pops along. I'm sure that you can do what you want though now. |

I think you'll find that's pretty ancient ! I have my three devices hooked up on the one account. 1xiPhone, 1xAndroid and a Galaxy Tab. |

Same here. I have a HTC Desire and HTC Sensation linked to myaccount.
Although has to be said I haven't used the desire for ages (other than calls) due to the lack of onboard memory. So I don't actually use it anymore for CA - or G maps if it comes to that.
But anyway, as far as I know it is still linked to my account. _________________ Triumph Tbird 1700. And now a Bonnie T100. |

Indeed that post is very old and no longer applies. Our policy changed sometime ago and you can now use a subscription on three devices, be they satnav, Android, iOS etc. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Darren
Many thanks to you and others responding. I have tried many times to get the Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 to download the data base. The samsung is shown as linked to my account but I cannot download the new database(s) still being left with the "free one" when the app was downloaded. I have no such problem with the HTC Desire HD which is my other android phone. If I uninstall the app & start again will that count as a fourth device ? Also can the original "My Guide" be taken off my account giving me an extra life?
No need to deal with this on your day off not desperate.
Many thanks again to all. |

What day off??
We only actively track smartphone installs of CamerAlert, you currently show two Android devices linked to your account.
What does your Galaxy Ace report on the Manage Cameras page after 'Status'? _________________ Darren Griffin |

The manage cameras screen.
First shows Getting subscription then goes to Subscription Valid until .. .. 2013 (RSB77) .
Then I press download database and for last 15 minutes Status; Downloading data . With a spinning wheel /clock constantly moving clock wise.
Database version 10.061 (32757)
Device : None
Have checked my wireless connection which is Excellent
Still showing same after 18 minutes.
No change 20 minutes |

OK, I'd delete the app, reboot then re-install. Link to RSB77 again and retry. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Did as suggested.
After downloading automatically linked to my account without any input.
Loaded database first time.
Many thanks. |
