Mine nearly went to the bin the other day. Increasing issues with freezing and rebooting turned into just won't do a damn thing after loading the new map
Tried the reformat and restore from back-up fixes that have worked before and still the patient was terminal. Did manage to get the Windows disk checking software to show corruptions were occurring
Then saw here a reference to a suggestion (by I think Dennis) to move as much as possible of the Tom Tom files from the main memory to the add in memory card
Worked a treat so THANKS to all who've posted advice on here! Saved me £250+
Bigger micro SD card on order so I can move even more to the memory card |

Get one big enough to move EVERYTHING onto the card so you can forget about the internal memory.
If it's beginning to fail, it will only get worse over time. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

Cheers Andy will do as you're right it will just get worse. Looking at the way and when errors formed I think the issue is with the local processor writing start up files to the internal memory.
To be fair to Tom Tom at least their software is flexible enough to just power up and cope with finding folders have been moved |
