... and all the other accessories like reflectors, spare bulb kits etc.., mine were returned to Halfords today for a full refund after being not required  _________________ TomTom 700 GO user since Dec 2005.

That's exactly what I do. As long as they are unopened and returned within 28 days of purchase there is nothing Halfords can do about it
I'm surprised more people haven't cottoned on to this when they buy the expensive european travel kits |

Sorry to drag up an old post, but I've got most of the answers I need except.
If I use tomtom and the speed signs (I.e. 30mph zone sign) is this acceptable as I presume it's just like seeing a street sign.
Secondly, is it ok to set tomtom to beep for the correct speed limit.
I guess both answers are ok to use as they are not detecting cameras or radars?
