I have noticed on the M62) that the specs zone isn't fully labelled (and therefore the average speed doesn't work). It misses the first camera on the Eastbound side (although the camera is reported as a specs) and doesn't recognise the zone until the next camera is reached. Similarly, in the area around junction 27 (Eastbound) the zone drops out for a few cameras and then comes back in for the remaining few.
I was just wondering why, if the cameras are showing in the database as specs, they are not included in the zone?
Thanks

If I remember correctly, the cameras have to be correctly designated as Start, one or more Middles and an End, to work correctly. You can check them on the submission map. _________________ Jock

Thanks for the reply. Looking at the map, it seems SPECS:109004@50 is designated the start camera, but my average speed is not coming in until I reach SPECS:108694, which is the next camera but also designated as the start.
SPECS:96813@50 is also labelled as a start camera, despite the previous one not being designated as an end camera, so the average drops out.
I have noticed that SPECS:100192@50 and SPECS:101075@50 are designated as only single direction with no middle camera tag added. Would this cause an issue?
How would I submit these for change from start or nothing to middle please?

Scrub that, I have found how to submit a modification to a camera and have tried that way.
Thanks

Mark,
I also noticed these same issues and have also suggested some revisions to the cameras over the last few days.
Hopefully between us it'll get sorted out |

I've just been along that stretch and it *should* now be correct (well, once I process the last couple of bits)

Yesterday I visited my son in London so decided to try out my HTC One X with Copilot and Camera Alert rather than my trusty Garmin 765
All seemed to be working even if the voice was a bit quiet.
Route was Southampton / M3 / M25 / M40. As I approached the M3/M25 junction I noticed they was no announcement at all about the SPECS cameras on the "other side" of the motorway. My first thought was the new Android app was directional and thought nothing more of it.
However it didn't do anything on the return journey either, which is when you are actually in the SPECS zone.
Camera Alert 1.3.6.601
Database 10.061 (32757)
Average (SPECs, Safe-T-Cam) is selected in the "Cameras to warn about" aetting _________________ Red Squirrel

Which part of the M62 roadworks was this? I know I spent a lot of time submitting corrections between J26 and J18 whilst the cameras were being moved down every couple of days. |

It was the Leeds side. Not 'your' side |
