IGO8 Icons

Hi, Could anyone please tell me in simple terms how to put a new set of icons onto IGO8, the standard ones are very basic and the ones I have found cover just about every icon I will need.

Which icons are you talking about?

I have downloaded a batch of icons covering most groups,ie petrol stations, banks, fishing icon, historical houses etc etc and its these I wanted to put onto my satnav running Igo8, jsu nee to know how i go about it, where to put files etc

Never done it myself, but most of the icons are in a file called 'branding.zip' but I don't know the format.

I have seen a detail on this subject that says the following:-
Open IGO8
Open branding file --in branding file there is a folder called Common
put your new icons into this folder


Does that sound correct or does anybody know different?

Whilst on the subject of icons, has anyone got UK icons? they can send me.

I've got a set, but they are mostly US, but there are a lot of UK icons in there as well.
PM me your email and I'll send them to you. Problem is that it's about 10Mb

I was hoping that someone out there has the solution as to how you put new icons on IGO8 as the blue ones that come with it are not very good. I have download a file containing lots of icons--just need to know where they go!!!!

You should have a file called Branding.zip in the root of the iGO8 folder. The Icons go in there, in the branding.zip\ui-igo8\common folder along with associated .spr files, but as to what format the icons take and how they are associated with the various POIs, I havn't a clue.
